Australia, its neighbours and the global community.

Applications
for the 2017 round in selected countries across Asia-Pacific will open from 1
February - 30 April 2016. Applications are now closed for Africa.
Australia
Awards Scholarships are long term development awards administered by the
Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. They aim to contribute to
the long term development needs of Australia's partner countries in line with
bilateral and regional agreements. They provide opportunities for people from
developing countries to undertake full-time postgraduate study at participating
Australian universities (The
University of Queensland is a participating institution).
In return, Australia Awards
scholars are expected to go back to their home country upon completion of their
studies to contribute to their country/region's development.
