The UCD Sport Graduate Scholarship (SGS) is a new scholarship programme specifically for students who are competing and succeeding at the highest sporting level – nationally and internationally - while simultaneously completing a post graduate programme at UCD. The successful applicants will be known as “UCD Graduate Sports Scholars.”

The UCD Sport Graduate Scholarship (SGS) supports athletes in their pursuit of both sporting and academic success.
The UCD Sport Graduate Scholarships are available for courses in UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, UCD College of Science or UCD School of Education, Professional Masters of Education (PME) and the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Population Science courses available including Coaching Science, Sports Management and Physiotherapy.

Who is eligible?
- The focus of the SGS programme is on a number of selected sports: Athletics, Rugby, Soccer, GAA, Hockey and Rowing although outstanding applicants from other sports may also be considered.
- It is open to UCD students completing their undergraduate studies as well as other Irish and non-Irish students who have completed their undergraduate studies in another Irish University/Third Level Institution. Students who have completed their undergraduate studies outside Ireland will also be considered.

- Applicants MUST have already applied for and been offered a place on a UCD Postgraduate course in UCD College of Science, UCD Smurfit School, School of Education os the UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Population Science. If you have not yet applied for a course you can do so here:

Closing date for applications is the 31st of January 2016
Sports Scholarship Application will open on the 1st of February and closing date is the 30th of March 2016
